CGA'S LEED Medal Count

April 29, 2014

Many CGA projects achieve LEED Certification:  As of April 2014, 27 facility design projects using Colin Gordon Associates had achieved LEED Certification, including six projects awarded the coveted LEED Platinum status, and 14 LEED Gold.  While LEED Certification is based on a variety of factors, requiring efforts by the entire team, there are a growing number of categories where an acoustical consultant can help create good acoustics for the point count.  Read on for some of the projects in each category.

LEED Platinum: 6 – Includes the following quite notable projects (and their architects):

  • Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF), National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Golden, CO (SmithGroupJJR Architects; also named 2014 “Lab of the Year” by R&D Magazine)
