Biodesign C

Arizona State University

One of several building projects CGA has supported at Arizona State University, Biodesign Institute C is a five-story, 189,759 SF research facility for researchers from the Biodesign Institute, the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Designed for LEED Platinum, the building contains a mixture of laboratories, including high bay space, three levels of generic laboratories, and a Compact X-Ray Light Source facility in the basement. Located next to an active light rail track and a busy highway, external vibration sources were an initial concern, as was the ground level workshop and the proximity of building mechanical systems to laboratories and the X-ray Light Source located in the basement.
