CGA’S LEED Medal Count

Many CGA projects achieve LEED Certification:  As of June 2024, 38 facility design projects using Colin Gordon Associates had achieved LEED Certification, including 6 projects awarded the coveted LEED Platinum status, and 20 LEED Gold.  While LEED Certification is based on a variety of factors, requiring efforts by the entire team, there are a growing number of categories where an acoustical consultant can help create good acoustics for the point count.  Read on for some of the projects in each category.

LEED Platinum: 6 – Includes the following quite notable projects (and their architects):

  • Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF), National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Golden, CO (SmithGroupJJR Architects; also named 2014 “Lab of the Year” by R&D Magazine)
